Al Akbar Mosque at Surabaya was built from 1996 to 2000 on 11.2 hectares land. This mosque can accommodate 59,000 prayers, located near Surabaya-Malang Toll Road. This beautiful mosque was designed by team of Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology. It has 45 double doors, made of teak wood, dimensions of each door are 1.5 m width and 4.5 m height. Height of its minaret is 99 meters, with observation deck at height of 68 meters. From this minaret, one can have 360-degree view of Surabaya.

iya pak, saya lama di surabaya 9 tahun, kuliah di ITS, hampir tiap tahun mesti traweh sama i’tikaf disana
