Jami’ Mosque Sungai Jingah, Banjarmasin is recognized as an historic building and may be the oldest mosque in this area. Architecture of this mosque is a mix between traditional Banjar and colonial European building. At its original site at Martapura river bank, this mosque was built in 1777 with full wood/timber materials including its roof, dominantly ebony wood. In 1934, the mosque was rebuilt at its current location using materials from the original mosque.
